The Los Angeles landmark, Ennis House, is now for sale through the non-profit Ennis House Foundation's board to any architectural enthusiast willing to pay the $US15 million price tag.
Built in 1924, the house is a design by the celebrated architect, Frank Lloyd Wright. Along with being recognised as 'the greatest American architect of all time' by the American Institute of Architects in 1991, the late Wright was also an influential interior designer, writer and educator.
Ennis House took inspiration for its design from Wright's existing works, but is principally based on ancient Mayan temples. This unique temple style home is constructed predominantly of interlocking pre-cast concrete blocks and featured in movies such as 'House on Haunted Hill' 'Grand Canyon' and 'Blade Runner'.
