After almost a year on the market, Nicole Kidman has finally sold her Darling Point house overlooking the Cruising Yacht Club and Rushcutters Bay.

Originally a duplex, Kidman acquired the 2nd half of the building for $4.75million in 1998 to make the 8 bedroom house it is today.

After several offers, including a $12 million effort from Wentworth Courier owner Michael Hannan, the property reportedly sold for about $6 million less than the asking price of $20 million through Bill Bridges of Cassim Real Estate. It is not known who the property sold to at this stage.

Currently based on a farm in Nashville USA, the Oscar winning actress has chosen to maintain an Australian property as well purchasing at Bunya Hill, Sutton Forrest for a more child friendly 45 hectare rural estate.
