Menzies to sell a fine vintage
Australian entrepreneur, Rod Menzies, is selling his rural property near Nagambie, named Noorilim, and is expecting offers over $10 million.
Menzies, who also owns the Stonnington Mansion in Malvern, is the founder of Menzies International, one of Australia's 500 most profitable private companies. Menzies International includes the cleaning business Menzies Group, Menzies International Racing Stables, Menzies Art Brands and auction houses, and the vineyard within Noorilim Estate.
Noorilim Estate was designed by James Gall, who also designed Werribee Mansion, and features a spectacular tower, great hall, colonnade verandahs, seven staircases, 15 fireplaces, ornate columns, and 10 bedrooms.
“This is without a doubt one of the most significant and impressive properties offered for sale in Victoria for a long time,” says Sean Cussell.
The grounds include Goulburn River frontage, several outbuildings including a Victorian style coach house, and 30 hectares of established grape vines, including shiraz, cabernet sauvignon, merlot and viognier.
“Both the mansion and the grounds are quite spectacular. It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity,” says Cussell.
