Jen Hawkins to build seaside home

Australian supermodel Jennifer Hawkins, and her boyfriend of six years Jake Wall, have bought an $1.8 million oceanfront block of land in Sydney’s northern beaches.

Located directly on the water in North Curl Curl, the happy couple plan to build their ‘dream house’ there and already have architects and excavation plans underway.

The couple will bring their combined talents into show, Jakes building skills and Jen’s skills learnt from the Interior Design course she is currently completing via correspondence, to offer a personal touch to the house.

The former Miss Universe, now 26, has a sturdy contract with Myer, and her current net worth is believed to be more than $10 million, a vast majority of that is invested in property, including houses in Newcastle and Byron Bay, and an apartment in Kings Cross.

Canterbury's Breaking news

The home of the late Michael Schildberger has been put on the market for $3.6 million.

The veteran broadcaster and reporter, who died earlier this year of Prostate cancer, achieved notoriety in the 1970s while he was executive producer and national host of ‘A Current Affair’ – for which he was awarded a 1976 Logie Award for ‘Best TV Interviewer’. Since then, he directed the ATV 10 news, FOX-FM news and hosted the morning program on the radio station 3LO.

Home to the Schildnerger’s family for 31 years, the circa 1900 Victorian residence features four bedrooms, study, formal rooms, stunning European kitchen, family living and dining areas, sunroom, tennis court, pool and mature gardens.

“It is a warm and inviting Victorian family home in one of the most highly regarded streets in Canterbury, complete with tennis court and pool. It is exceptionally difficult to secure properties of this ilk,” says agent James Tostevin.
