Victoria's Coastal Best Seller

Currently owned and run by internationally acclaimed author, Annabel Tellis, of ‘If my Dad were a Dog’, and husband Martin Tunley, ‘Aire Valley Guesthouse and Restaurant’ is situated above Victoria’s Great Ocean Road between Apollo Bay and the Twelve Apostles.

Tellis, who was once a housemaid at Balmoral Castle, moved here five years ago, looking to find the Australian way of life and runs three established businesses from the premises; a guesthouse, restaurant and Great Ocean Walk Holidays. Each attracts thousands of visitors annually.

The 1890’s homestead is surrounded by fifteen acres of fertile land, which blends into the Great Otway National Park and the Aire River Wildlife Reserve.

Aire Valley Restaurant has been awarded ‘Green Table’ status; Australia’s first environmental certification scheme for restaurant and catering businesses. Sustainable methods of horticulture ensure everything in the garden is grown using organic methods. Each dinner is served straight from the garden to the plate

Aire Valley Guesthouse and Restaurant has been featured on Channel 9’s ‘Postcards’ as well as featuring in a Discovery Channel documentary ‘The Art of Walking’.

The property includes five guest double rooms - all with ensuites and private verandas, glasshouse, double garage, a three bedroom manager’s residence, communal lounge and dining room with an open fire, and commercial kitchen.
