Swans coach flies the coop
Sydney Swans coach, Paul Roos, and his wife Tami have put their Randwick home on the market.
Roos is one of Australia's most admired sporting personalities, newspaper columnist and professional speaker.
Along with steering Sydney to a record number of finals, being the AFL record holder for the number of games played wearing the number 1 jumper - which he wore in every one of his 356 games for Fitzroy and Sydney, Roos is in the Hall of Fame, and was named ‘All Australian’ seven times. Now aged 57, Roos recently announced that he would retire at the end of the 2010 season.
Selling agent Damien Bickmore-Hutt says, “[The home is] built to a size and scale that is reflective of the description of great houses... it also offers a wonderful location surrounded by private schools and parklands with Sydney’s most famous beaches and the CBD only minutes away.”
Built in 2005 by Peter Dunkley of Dunkley Developments, the house includes five bedrooms, five bathrooms, games room with wet bar, comprehensive Cbus system , off street security parking for three cars, video security system, swimming pool with a spa, and lily pond.
The house is located near Sydney’s Centennial Park, only one block from Queens Park and is expected to sell for more than $5.5 million.
