From East to West

Michael Beach and wife, Nicolette Casella, are selling their Bondi abode.

Michael has been the editor for the Saturday Daily Telegraph in Sydney, but has recently accepted the role of deputy editor of the West Australian in Perth, leaving them no option, but to move on from their much-loved double story terrace.

Ms Casella, also a senior journalist for the Daily Telegraph, originally came from Perth, so after the recent years in Bondi’s beachside bustle the move is a welcome change back to her roots.

The home features three bedrooms, including a main with balcony and walk-in wardrobe, a newly refurbished bathroom, attic office, high ceilings, three working fireplaces, polished floors, modern galley kitchen, and private courtyard.

A sweet escape

There are several reasons why Terry and Di Allsep chose to buy in quickly to ‘Edgecliff On The Beach’, and for Terry it means returning to the suburb of his childhood.

The couple, who have spent the past decade living at Mt Martha, are of Melbourne’s 75-year-old Allseps confectionary family. The 75 year old family run company are famous for traditional sweets including Mixed Lollies, Snakes, Raspberries, Strawberry & Creams, Wine Gums and Bananas to name a few.

“We ended up deciding to buy quickly into Edgecliff after driving past in its early stages because it just fitted everything,” says Terry.

Top of the list is the proximity of the Sandringham Yacht Club, as well as the shops, restaurants, the beach and the train.

The couples new light filled apartment features four bedrooms, with a mezzanine level, and is conveniently located on the car park level, adjacent to the pool, and has glorious courtyard views.

“We like to travel to see our children and their families in the country and now, we can just lock up and leave, not worrying about gardens and other maintenance,” says Terry.

75 percent of the apartments and all townhouses at Edgecliff on the Beach have already sold. The average unit price of remaining apartments is $1.46 million with recently released penthouses ranging from $1.8 million to just under $3 million.
